The ion process is quite simple. These ions are not harmful to humans or to pets, small animals or plants, yet they quickly kill the bacteria, viruses, algae and fungus in the pool on contact.

During the process, copper and silver ions, (which are electrically-charged groups of atoms,) attempt to move from one electrode to another.

NO electricity gets into the pool.

In killing the algae, viruses and bacteria, the ions work just like white blood cells in our bodies do when they protect us from disease.

First they attach to the viruses and bacteria and then penetrate their cell membranes and kill them.

The dead matter then clumps together or coagulates, and after that happens it is then large enough to be carried away and gets totally filtered out of the water.
